Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
Just three coins need to be tracked down to render these classic collectibles complete, with several notable characteristics to inform you of. Some of the coins have been glued into place securely, with other glued examples able to be popped out and others (a minority) not pasted at all. The coins are not placed in numerical order on their respective team shields, with Salada coins dominating Shirriff examples among verifiable ones. The shields all exhibit half a dozen or more (not too drastic) edge cracks, with scotch tape repair on the backs of some and holes indeed pierced at the middle top for display purposes. Soiling to the Canadiens shield is also to note, along with waviness to the cardboard insert of the (not stuck) 21-Hillman coin, while missing are #s 33-McDonald, 38-Melnyck and 81-Harvey. Not high grade but still wonderful displays from the Original Six era.
