Hockey at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi witnessed the second consecutive gold medal for the Canadians, defeating Sweden in the finals. Twelve nations participated for best in world status, including Russia, Finland, Austria, Norway, Switzerland, Latvia, Slovenia, Slovakia, the United States and the Czech Republic. This Team Canada jersey was worn by Chris Kunitz in the February 13th game vs Norway. A Nike logo along with “60” sizing sits screened-on the inside collar above an IIHF label, with an additional Nike swoosh heat-pressed onto the right breast. Featuring a maple leaf team crest fittingly outlined in gold with “Canada” below, the solid red garment has been accented with double-twill numbers, with the back letters heat-pressed directly onto the nameplate. An LOA from the NHLPA will accompany.
The Olympic rings appear over the right sleeve along with a Canadian flag patch over the left, while the important Sochi 2014 crest resides on the back bottom hem. A Nike inventory bar code numbered 85345 also sits inverted on the inside hem. Visible game-use includes just a tiny bit of wear to the fabric directly above the team crest. Canada would defeat Norway in the Feb 13th contest, 3-1.
