This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
From a hockey season that would see Wayne Gretzky embark on a National Hockey League career like no other - he broke dozens upon dozens of records - comes The Great One's desirable 1979-80 O-Pee-Chee rookie card, available in wax packs that season which cost 20 cents each and contained 14 cards. Visible light touches at the four corners are to report, with however perfect side-to-side centering pleasing, as are the smooth edges. Recently returning from PSA and in a scratch-free holder, this card #18 received a mark of EX-MT 6 and will contribute admirably to your big-time Gretzky/rookie card stash. A quick check reveals that when big Wayne retired following the 1998-99 season, he held or shared 61 records, the vast majority considered unbreakable - Wayne's rookie will forever be revered and in demand.
