Popular and challenging is Parkhurst's 1957-58 card set, with the assembly here low on creases and we'd say rather high in desirability, given its numerous alluring components, led by the first five numbered Canadiens and The Big M's rookie card. Corner wear and a light wrinkle on the back send the (toned) Henri Richard RC to VG or VG+, but brother Maurice (EX), Beliveau (EX+), Plante (EX-MT), the Mahovlich rookie (EX+) and Horton (EX) are attractive contributors. Harvey (VG-EX) and, to a lesser extent, Horton have evidence of wax removal on the front, with Geoffrion (VG) also crease-free but with more corner wear. Without creases and best among the first five Maple Leafs are 2-Chadwick RC (VG-EX+), 4-Pulford RC (VG-EX+) and 5-Sloan (VG-EX), with creasing lowering 1-Armstrong (G) and 3-Duff (P). We see EX-MT to NM cards combining to slightly outnumber the EX and EX+ entries among the rest, with just four VGs (3 Leafs commons and M25-Olmstead beats Chadwick) to report, with varying degrees of toning visible in our photos. In short, some appealing cardboard involved here.
