Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Departing from his trademark white wooden Titan models used throughout the earlier part of his unrivaled career, Wayne Gretzky began employing aluminum Easton models during his time with the Los Angeles Kings. This original circa-1990 Easton aluminum shaft was produced for The Great One and has been signed by Wayne, but was never used by the legendary superstar. “Gretzky” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with the current inserted “RB 200” Easton wooden blade not a model that would have been used by Gretzky. Wayne has signed the lower shaft in black marker with the signature displaying well, with a small plaque affixed to the blade that states “Top Scorer – 1991 – Brick Super Novice – Invitational Tournament”. The shaft exhibits light handling wear throughout with no issues.
