Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/30/2021
One of the Montreal Expos most beloved all-time players, Gary Carter enjoyed two stints in the city which included his first 11 MLB seasons (1974-84). The Hall of Fame member also had his number retired by the Expos. From the early-1980s, we have a bat that was issued to the star. A Louisville Slugger P89 signature model, the 35” bat with blond finish sports a handwritten “8” to the knob, with the center brand and stampings all deep and bold. There are marks visible to the barrel, but with no pine tar on the handle assuring use, the bat is being sold as a game-issued specimen.
