Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
First donning the orange and black shield logo of the NHL in 1976, Bryan Trottier would take part in eleven All-Star contests spanning until 1992, with First All-Star Team selection earned in both 1978 and 1979. Hailing from his personal collection, we have a great lot of All-Star Game items, including programs, team photos, pennants and watches. First, we have framed team photos, including from the early-1980s (8” x 10”), early-1980s (pictures four with Trottier, Bossy and Potvin, framed to 12 ½” x 14 ½”), and 1985 (two, with one Campbell team image at 11” x 14” and a second that pictures members of the Wales and Campbell conferences including Gretzky - 11” x 14”). This is followed by programs from 1981 (heavier wear) and 1986 (light wear) and pennants from 1980, 1983 and 1986 (4). Lastly, we have cufflinks engraved “BJT”, three different watches and a 1982 All-Star wood block pen holder. A signed LOA from Bryan Trottier will accompany.
A few additional items are also included, with a 1986 All-Star Game paperweight (chipped), and a 1992 equipment bag tag. The photos show light wear, with a bit heavier wear to the frames, with the pennants all 30”, with some creasing and minor spotting to a pair. The watches were most likely presented as gifts at All-Star Games or possibly during Trottier’s time with Team Canada at the Canada Cup, with each appearing to have never been used, with a women’s Citizen Quartz watch in the original case with instructions, a Wittnauer watch in the original case with a period price tag of $175.00, and a Seiko Quartz pocket watch in the original case.
