Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/24/2021
Contributing points in each of the first two games, Frank Mahovlich witnessed action in seven of the eight Summit Series matches in 1972, and we offer his signed Team Canada equipment bag that originates from his personal collection. At roughly 34” x 15” x 14”, the canvas bag is in Team Canada red with white accents, with “27” in tackle twill numerals affixed along one side near a full colour CCM crest, with a “Team Canada Equipe” patch with heat-pressed letters sewn to the opposite side. The zipper remains in working order, with black leather reinforcement patches visible along the underside. A few vintage tags have been pinned to the bag, with expected wear commensurate with its former use. Mahovlich has signed just above his “27”, with the thin black ink signature quite faded. A second small CCM toiletry bag in matching Team Canada red is also included.
