Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2021

Proudly wearing the “C” of the Boston Bruins for six seasons, Wayne Cashman spent his entire career in Beantown, scoring almost 800 points while a member of two Stanley Cup championships. The Kingston native would also serve his nation, taking part in the legendary Summit Series, in 1972. Originating from his personal collection, we have a pair of limited-edition lithographs from the early-2000s by Douglas Laird that celebrate the Summit Series, including an example that has been team-signed. First, we have a 17” x 25” litho entitled "When There Were Six", signed by 25 in black marker including Cashman, along with Pete Mahovlich, Stan Mikita, Brian Glennie, Mickey Redmond, Don Awrey, Paul Henderson, Rod Seiling, Pat Stapleton, Ron Ellis, Bill White, Yvan Cournoyer, Vic Hadfield, Guy Lapointe, Marcel Dionne, Brad Park, Jocelyn Guevremont, Dennis Hull, Red Berenson, Rick Martin, Serge Savard, JP Parise, Harry Sinden and the Esposito brothers. The limited-edition number of “670/1950” appears over the bottom left, with moderate wear present including touches to the corners, a few minor creases/wrinkles, and two large vertical bends/folds. Next, we have a 21 ¾” x 30” litho entitled "Remember The Goal”, signed by the artist over the bottom right, with the limited-edition number of “160/500” added to the lower left. There is corner, surface and edge wear, with heavy spotting over the upper sections.
