Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
The all-time leading scorer for the all-time most successful hockey club, Guy Lafleur was the very first player in history to score 50 goals and 100 points in six consecutive seasons, including in 1976-77, when the Montreal Canadiens utterly thrashed the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup final to claim their second of four consecutive championships. This 20 ½” x 50” vinyl banner, a smaller version of the style that hangs from the rafters of the Bell Centre, proclaims the Cup win and is signed in clear blue sharpie by legendary superstar Guy Lafleur. The signature has been placed over the upper left with no issues, with just light wear to the banner itself. The absolute perfect display piece for Habs fans, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany, along with a small wooden rod to insert into the top of the banner to facilitate hanging.
