The third Detroit Red Wing to hoist Lord Stanley’s hardware after Steve Yzerman and Dominik Hašek at the conclusion of the 2002 Stanley Cup finals, Luc Robitaille contributed four postseason goals to the cause, with his 80 points including 30 goals during the regular season helping to lead the Motor City hopefuls to the promise land. The 2001-02 season also witnessed Robitaille secure his milestone 610th goal, on Jan 9, 2002, with the historic marker positioning the superstar in a tie with legendary HOFer Bobby Hull for most all-time goals by a left-winger. Hailing from his personal collection, we have the puck Robitaille used to score his 610th! An InGlasCo model with Red Wings obverse and Official NHL reverse, tape has been added over the team logo, with “610” handwritten in black marker. "20" and "610" are also written on the reverse within the silver ring section. A signed LOA from Luc Robitaille will accompany.
The puck exhibits light to moderate game-use with nicks and marks visible. Robitaille is currently in the #2 spot for most NHL career goals by a left-winger, and stands #13 overall for most NHL goals on the all-time list with 668.
A portion of the sales from the Luc Robitaille personal collection will benefit the Echoes of Hope Foundation. Founded in 2007 by Stacia and Luc Robitaille, Echoes of Hope strives to awaken the spirit of hope in the lives of children, youth, and young adults in need by alleviating barriers and helping them reach their full potential.
