Nearing the 100-point summit during his third NHL season, Luc Robitaille would register a strong 98 points at the conclusion of the 1988-89 campaign and would receive selection for a second straight year to the NHL All-Star Game. This signed Los Angeles Kings jersey was worn that season by the superstar. A Maska Ultrafil label remains affixed to the collar, with the jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 54. Styled with the classic 1st season modern Kings’ team crest, the vintage black V-neck has been accented with dual-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Robitaille” across the affixed nameplate in matching material. There is also a CCM crest over the reverse hem, with a velcro patch added over the left breast. Robitaille has signed within the front white band near the right seam, with the black marker signature displaying beautifully. A signed LOA from Luc Robitaille will accompany.
The jersey shows heavy game-use with numerous marks over the front and sleeves along with burns and scuffs, with pilling to the inner sleeves and beneath the fight strap. There are also team repairs, with two over each sleeve.
A portion of the sales from the Luc Robitaille personal collection will benefit the Echoes of Hope Foundation. Founded in 2007 by Stacia and Luc Robitaille, Echoes of Hope strives to awaken the spirit of hope in the lives of children, youth, and young adults in need by alleviating barriers and helping them reach their full potential.
