A two-time Stanley Cup champion with Edmonton, Craig Simpson enjoyed six seasons in Alberta before heading to Pittsburgh. The London native would register over 50 points in each season except his last, and he famously scored during the 1988 Stanley Cup finals on Wayne Gretzky’s final assist as an Oiler. This signed stick was used by Simpson circa 1988-89, his second season with the club. A Sher-Wood PMP 7000 model with “Simpson” and “18” over the upper shaft, the stick retain’s the original black tape on the blade and white over the handle. Great game-use is shown, with wear to the blade and numerous marks and wear to the shaft. Simpson has signed over the lower shaft in black marker, adding his number.
