Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Intriguing little batch of goodies here is led chronologically and interest-wise by ten 1952 Topps 5th Series cards (in the 250-310 number range), with four in VG+ or VG-EX condition. The crease-free group features #s 262-Trucks, 274-Branca, 281-Brown SP and 293-Sisti SP, with 307-Campos making it to EX. A duplicate Campos card (also with two red stars) is VG, the same as 259-Addis RC, while lower are 275-Mullin (G), 301-Porterfield (G) and 308-Aloma (F). .....Half a dozen ’53 Topps cards are led condition-wise by 9-Joe Collins (EX), with Red Sox 18-Lepcio and 19-Parnell at VG+, similar to 65-Harrist. A 34-George Shuba card is VG, while creased and G is 23-Atwell. Jimmie Foxx joins Ted Williams on card #38 from Ted’s 1959 Fleer issue (G), with #8-First Full Season VG+. A couple of modern cards of Derek Jeter, including a ’93 Topps RC have dinged corners, with two nifty old hockey publications also tossed-in. One is a seldom-seen 1950 French digest-style affair picturing Maurice Richard on the cover, with the “1949-50 Hockey Album” packed with not-often-seen pictures taken by the famous Turofsky brothers.
