Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
First donning the patriotic maple leaf at the World Juniors in 2009, Cody Eakin also represented his nation at the 2015 IIHF World Championships where the offered jersey was worn – specifically during the preliminary round vs Latvia (May 1st) and Switzerland (May 10th), with Canada going undefeated at the tournament, winning gold. An IIHF label with Nike “60” sizing is affixed to the collar, with an IIHF patch over the reverse lower hem. Styled with “Canada” across the chest in single red twill, the polyester jersey sports tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching vintage-style Canada crests over each sleeve along with sponsorship patches from Zebster. There is also a Hockey Canada centennial patch over the left breast (1914-2014). Sporting light game-use with marks over each sleeve, there is also some blue paint transfer near the right cuff and over the lower reverse. An inventory bar code from Nike has been added to the inside hem, with an LOA from Hockey Canada to accompany.
