Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
A Toronto Maple Leafs draft selection in 1988, defenceman Len Esau spent the majority of his career in the IHL, with brief appearances for four different NHL clubs. Taking part in the 1995 World Championships in Sweden, Esau would see action in seven of the eight Team Canada matches, scoring a single point. This Team Canada jersey was worn at the tournament by the Meadow Lake native. A Tackla label with “XXL” sizing is affixed to the collar, with the vintage mesh sweater measuring-out to roughly a size 58. Styled with a sublimated team crest and numbers, “Esau” appears in matching style over the affixed nameplate, with sponsorship patches over each upper sleeve. Showing nice use, stick and puck marks are visible over the front and right sleeve. An LOA will accompany.
