Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Donning the prestigious captain’s “C” of Team Canada, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would score an impressive 15 points in just 6 contests at the 2013 World Junior Tournament, with the Canadians only managing a fourth-place finish. This was after the superstar’s first NHL season, and due to the lock-out of 2012-13, he was able to join Team Canada. This Team Canada captain’s jersey was worn by Nugent-Hopkins at the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championships. An IIHF label with Nike “58” sizing sits affixed to the collar, with an additional IIHF crest situated over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic Hockey Canada crest with embroidered detailing, the polyester jersey sports tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with matching vintage Team Canada crests over each sleeve. There is also a Nike bar code affixed to the inside hem. An LOA from Hockey Canada will accompany along with a pair of Nugent-Hopkins Team Canada hockey cards including a signed example.
The jersey sports nice use, with marks over the front and sleeves, with some yellowing discolouration over the sleeves.
