A product of Bílí Tygri Liberec in the Czech Extraliga, Ladislav Smid was selected 9th overall by Anaheim in 2004, and spent his first eight NHL seasons with the Edmonton Oilers before being traded to Calgary in 2013. This photo-matched Oilers jersey was worn by Smid in 2006-07, his NHL rookie season, where he appeared in 77 games. Elite Sportswear labeling along with CCM size “58” tagging remains attached to the collar, with Reebok and NHL crests on the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Featuring the familiar Oilers team crest with textured oil drop, the V-neck sweater has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Smid” across the nameplate in matching material. Dark marks are present over each sleeve, with burns over the left shoulder. There is also some red and blue paint transfer over the left shoulder and upper right reverse respectively, with two small holes beneath the front left shoulder. Getty Image #72487493 (Oct 25, 2006) has been matched to the distinct pattern of dark marks to the right of the "5" on the right sleeve, and to the two dark marks and their specific shape and placement just above the top navy striping band over the right sleeve. A MeiGray patch numbered “D09041” resides near the team patch on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is a “White Set 1” example. A matching LOA will accompany along with a second LOA.
