Currently retaining the 11th spot on the all-time points list with 1,579, Ray Bourque is the NHL’s all-time goals, assists and points leader for defenceman. From the twilight of his remarkable HOF career, when he spent two seasons with the Colorado Avalanche which included his lone Stanley Cup championship, we have a signed stick used by Ray Bourque during his time in Denver (1999-00 and 2000-01). A Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 model, “Bourque 77” factory graphics appear over the upper shaft, with “Handcrafted Exclusively for Raymond Bourque” on the underside. The original black tape over the blade and white over the shaved handle is in place, with “Colorado” stamped to the lower shaft and the striping accent intact. Just light use is exhibited with a large chip to the lower shaft and a small area of sticky residue beneath the handle, with Bourque placing a white paint pen signature across the front side blade (there is a small area of green paint at the base of the signature). Originating from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
