Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/1/2022
The man credited with bringing the “butterfly” style of netminding to the forefront, Patrick Roy remains the only player in history to garner the prestigious Conn Smythe Trophy an impressive three times. We have a stick used by the iconic superstar during his time with Colorado, a model of stick he used in the early-2000s. A KOHO 500 model with “P. Roy” stamped to the upper shaft, the original white tape is in place on the blade, lower paddle and knob, with black cloth wrap on the handle and upper shaft, with “31” handwritten. The stick exhibits nice game-use, with puck marks to the blade and wear to the underside. There are also specks of red paint transfer over the upper shaft along with a stray piece of masking tape. Hailing from the personal collection of an important hockey executive, his signed LOA will accompany.
