Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
One of the NHL’s legendary innovators as the first to regularly wear and develop the goal mask, Jacques Plante was also instrumental in helping to evolve the goaltending position itself, with his forays from the crease chasing loose pucks now commonplace amongst netminders. One of the most desirable of all Original Six signatures, we have a copy of “The Jacques Plante Story” signed by the iconic Hall of Fame member. At 5 ½” x 8 ¼”, the 161-page hardcover feature’s the original dust jacket picturing Plante in his Leafs finery, with the superstar signing the first page in blue ballpoint, with no issues for the attractive and fairly large signature. The book itself exhibits just light wear, with the dust jacket somewhat tattered, with a number of creases, tears and stains. An LOA from KSA will accompany for the signature.
