Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

Making his CFL debut in Edmonton’s opening game of the 2015 season, Danny Groulx would see action in 10 contests with the Eskimos during his rookie season, starting his first two games at right guard. Edmonton would go 14-4 in 2015, enough for a first place finish in the West, and would defeat the Ottawa Redblacks in a close-fought Grey Cup match, 26-20. We have an especially attractive 10K gold and diamond ring that was presented to Groulx for the Edmonton Eskimos’ triumphant Grey Cup championship in 2015. Size 15 with a hefty weight of approx 66 grams, a raised Eskimos “double-E” logo in yellow gold with 16 inserted round brilliant cut diamonds – one for each victory during 2015 – sits above an oval green stone encompassed by a perimeter of 24 square-cut diamonds representing the offense and defence, with “Grey Cup” above, and “Champions” below. An additional 68 diamonds split between each side of the bezel just above the shanks represent each individual that played for Edmonton that season. The left shank contains a raised image of the Grey Cup along with “2015”, with the Grey Cup final score and the year’s record of “16-4”, while the right contains a detailed image of Commonwealth Stadium with “Groulx” above in large letters, along with his number “50” below and the familiar motto of the ’15 Eskimos, “Tap-Tap”. The inner band feature’s “Once an Eskimo Always an Eskimo” engraved, with “Jostens” and “10K” also stamped. An appraisal document will accompany this gorgeous keepsake.
Sporting moderate wear from use, there are scratches over the outer band as well as a few minor nicks and dings, mostly along edges. Each and every diamond within the team logo and encompassing the bezel remains intact.
