Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
A smattering of five different 1930s issues is involved here, with 1933 Goudey rookie cards of Hall of Famers Mickey Cochrane (VG 3) and Heinie Manush (GOOD 2) recently graded by PSA and a 1934-36 Diamond Stars card of the legendary Mel Ott (EX 5) housed in an old/early PSA holder headlining the collection. Other '33 Goudeys (all RCs) are 68-Lisenbee (G), 142-Richards (G) and 235-Fitzsimmons (VG), while RCs from '34 and G+ are 28-Coleman and 57-Swift. Joining Ott in the Diamond Stars lineup are 61-Werber (EX), two VG-EXs (31-Kiki Cuyler, 69-Grace) and three in the G-VG range (5-Bridges, 22-Wilson and 40-Ryan). Four cards from two Canadian issues complete the lot, with further details and all card images available on our website.
World Wide Gum (Canadian Goudey) cards from 1933 depict 16-Blaeholder and 79-Taylor (both G), while black and white cards from World Wide's obscure Canada-only set are low grade with creases; 27-Bob Seeds (Newark Bears) and 98-Smead Jolley (Albany Senators).
