A good start to an attractive, mostly crease-free 1952-53 Parkhurst ensemble is available here, with the set's two most valuable cards recently graded by PSA. Card #1 of Maurice Richard (VG 3) is affected by a one-inch diagonal back crease (lower right corner when viewing the reverse) that's barely detectable on the front, while the Gordie Howe just missed NM recognition at EX-MT+ 6.5. The majority of the raw rest either mirror or are close to the Howe (EX, EX+, EX-MT), with some NMs to be discovered. Stars Horton RC, Sawchuk, Geoffrion, Armstrong RC and Delvecchio are among those not present, with Harvey (EX-MT), Moore RC (EX+), Kelly (EX-MT), McNeil (EX-MT) and #105-Hassard RC (EX) leading the most notable contributors. Further details and images are available on our website - some pleasing specimens await.
Other noteworthy cards reaching the aforementioned grades are those of 13-Bouchard, 27-Mosienko (ST), 31-Rollins, 44-Kennedy, 59-Lumley and 70-Schmidt, with 21-Stanley (VG) and 34-Boivin RC (VG-EX) among the 15 cards in the VG to VG-EX range. Approximately a dozen cards are markedly short or narrow, with the missing cards being #s 2, 3-Geoffrion, 6-Lach, 20, 22-Rayner, 26, 30, 32, 37, 40, 42-Meeker, 43, 51-Armstrong, 53-Delvecchio, 56-Gadsby, 58-Horton, 61-Pronovost, 65, 74-Henry, 83, 85, 86-Sawchuk, 87-Lindsay, 91, 95-Bentley, 99, 100 and 103. A few possibilities with these classic collectibles.
