Formed in 1973 and known throughout their existence as the Lions, Kings and Rama Kings, the Orillia Kings are members of the OLA Junior B Lacrosse League, and have won two Founders Cup championships, in 1994 and 1995. This 1995 Orillia Kings Founders Cup championship 10K gold ring is attributed to the league’s second place scorer Scott Balkwill. Size 10 ½ with an approx weight of 23 grams, a raised gold-coloured crown graces the top, with “Founders Cup” and “Canadian Champions” encompassing. The right shank has an image of the Founders Cup, with “Balkwill” engraved above and “8” below. The left shank has “Orillia” above and “Kings” below in raised letters, with “1995” sandwiched between, while the inner band is stamped “10K”. The ring exhibits heavy wear from use, with numerous scratches visible throughout the band along with a number of small edge nicks and gouges. There is also a small blemish to the interior band.
