This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/26/2021
Representing his nation repeatedly throughout his HOF career, Steve Yzerman first donned the mighty maple leaf as a World Junior in 1983, with the gold medal won at the 2002 Winter Olympics his greatest international success. The following Olympiad would see Wayne Gretzky announce that no player would wear Yzerman’s #19 jersey at the 2006 Winter Olympics. From the gold medal-winning 2002 Games in Salt Lake City, we have a Team Canada alternate captain’s jersey signed by the legendary superstar. A Nike label with “XXL” sizing is affixed to the collar, with a tackle twill team crest and numbers utilized, with “Yzerman” across the affixed nameplate. Stevie Y has signed the reverse “9” with a large vertical blue marker signature, adding “Salt Lake 02” just above, with some bleeding occurring to the signature and notation. A JSA auction LOA will accompany along with a COA.
