Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
We'll go chronologically with these classic collectibles, with Baldy Northcott and Russ Blinco Crown Brand photos the only notables among 11, (although re-glued to their original backings), the others in low, low grade, similar to one lonely 1940-41 O-Pee-Chee card of 104-Jack Adams. A few low grade representatives, but mostly in decent collectible condition are 42 Quaker Oats photos, with the Montreal lineup (23) highlighted by Bill Durnan (knob of stick cropped - small tear), Tod Campeau and Bert Olmstead and the Toronto contingent (19) led by Bentley (action), Don Metz (blade cropped), Harry Taylor and three different of Harry Watson. Bee Hive photos complete the lot, with Group 2 entries totaling over four dozen, with however all but two of 19 Rangers entries plagued by significant condition issues, including writing (front) and or tape stains. Canadiens (11) and Maple Leafs (16) are better and in the VG neighborhood, with however no tougher/valuable examples to note. Hall of Famers Boivin, Kennedy, Olmstead, Stanley and Watson are pictured in Leafs uniforms and are joined by Red Wings Lindsay, Pronovost and Ullman, as well as Chicago's Pilote. A cheap trip back in time the winning bidder will have with these.
