O-Pee-Chee cards from the 1960s are among the attractions of this all-KSA-graded assembly, with another being a 1962 Topps #200-Mickey Mantle card slabbed 7.5 NM+, the same as '62 Topps rookie cards of Gaylord Perry and Joe Torre, while 251-Yankees Team is at 6.5 ENM+. Highlighting the OPC contributors is a 1965 entry (out of 11) of 155-Roger Maris (7 NM), Pete Rose's '66 #30 at 7.5 NM+ and a beauty '67 Mantle #150 at 8.5 NMM+. Expectedly, 1990 Topps cards (9) are the overall condition leaders, with Frank Thomas and Sammy Sosa RCs, 336-Griffey and two Nolan Ryan specials all slabbed 9.5 NGM, with one Ryan (#5) earning 10 Gem Mint recognition. For more details and images of this interesting lot, please see our website.
Completing the '90 Topps contingent at 9 MINT are two other Ryan specials and 331-Gonzalez RC. Surely of more interest are the O-Pee-Chee representatives from the '60s, with the '65s led by 210-Jim Fregosi at 9 MINT and 8.5 NMM+s of 20-Jim Bunning and 107-Phillies Rookie Stars. Juan Marichal (#50) and 208-Tommy John are 8 NMMs, with 225-Bo Belinsky (7.5 NM+) erroneously with a 270-Milt Pappas reverse. At 7 NM is 260-Don Drysdale, 4-NL Home Run Leaders and another error; 241-Mack Jones has a 261-Duke Carmel reverse. Mantle appears on the last '65 card; 3-AL Home Run Leaders is a 6 ENM. Two others join Rose in the small stack of '66s; 52-Power Plus (Covington/Callison) (9.5 NGM) and 43-Don Landrum (8 NMM). Half a dozen '67 OPCs complete, led by a 9.5 NGM of 122-George Brunet and 165-Cleon Jones at 9 MINT. There's also 131-Yankees Team (7.5 NM+), 10-Matty Alou (7 NM) and two at 6.5 ENM+; 30-Al Kaline and 55-Don Drysdale. All KSA holders are bagged and appear to have been so since the cards' encapsulation. Several possibilities with this inviting mix.
