Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020

Talk about sharp corners, smooth edges and original gloss - these 1971-72 Topps cards are dominated by examples which appear never to have been manipulated! Okay, we spot the odd intermittent touched corner, but "High Grade" in the title applies, with NM-MT, NM-MT+ and MINT cards - submission candidates galore - awaiting the new owner. Already deemed worthy of MINT 9 recognition at PSA are cards of Johnny Bucyk, Bobby Hull (Pop 60 with just one ever grading higher out of 500+ submissions), Rod Gilbert and Bernie Parent. The Bobby Orr card is at least NM-MT, with Howe, Clarke and the checklist off-centered. Ken Dryden's rookie and seven star cards are not present, with more details and images on our website and a low grade '72-73 O-Pee-Chee partial set thrown in.
Also required, (along with Dryden), for completion if that option is pursued are #s 37-Delvecchio, 40-Park, 54-Cheevers, 60-Perreault, 80-Keon, 120-Richard and 125-Mikita. It should be noted that NM cards (a small percentage) are also in the mix, with card #1-NHL Goals Leaders EX-MT. .....As mentioned, the '72-73 OPC bonuses (cards numbered 1 to 207 are present) are mostly handled and creased, with however 129-Orr a decent crease-free VG entry, with none of the other star power making it to VG. All sorts of possibilities with these early-1970s classic collectibles.
