The oldest player in NHL history to win the coveted Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the Stanley Cup playoffs, goaltender Tim Thomas graced the net of the Boston Bruins for the majority of his career, with a pair of Vezina trophies earned along with appearances at four NHL All-Star Games. From earlier-on in his career in Beantown, we have a glove used by the 2011 Stanley Cup champion during his sophomore season of 2006-07. A Reebok Pulse model in Bruins’ colours, “Thomas” is embroidered near the right side of the pocket, with all of the lacing and strapping intact. Nice use is exhibited, with numerous puck marks visible over the wrist guard and within the pocket. Getty Image #73799074 (March 10, 2007 vs Philadelphia) has been matched to the distinct black streak visible just above the middle exposed lace near the bottom of the pocket and specifically to it’s exact length and placement, the image has also been matched to a number of other small marks visible. Getty Image #73799027 (March 10, 2007 vs Philadelphia) has been matched to the four distinct dark streaks visible over the white area of the glove’s pocket. A small Bauer mini-football used during practices is also included.
