Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
A fun array of unopened and encapsulated hockey wax packs is a mostly-1970s Topps ensemble that dates back to the 1975-76 season, with GAI (Global Authentication/Authority Inc.) doing the inspecting/authenticating throughout. The '75-76 pack earned a mark of NM-MT 8, while packs from '76-77 and '77-78 are both 7 NM. One O-Pee-Chee representative, from '77-78 and with a likeness of Ken Dryden on the wrapper front, is graded 6 EX-MT. A trio of Topps packs from '78-79 (Mike Bossy's RC year) include two NM-MT 8s and a 7 NM. Completing the intriguing group are two packs from the 1980s; an '85-86 (Mario Lemieux RC year) is at 4.5 VG-EX+, while 7.5 NM+ is the mark given to an '87-88 pack. Like we said at the start, fun stuff!
