Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Regarded by most as the most significant moment in Canadian sports history, Paul Henderson’s goal against the Soviet Union with 0:34 left on the clock helped propel Canada to victory at the 1972 Summit Series. The celebration following that goal has been captured perfectly in this artistic rendition by the respected Daniel Parry and this artist’s proof lithograph (numbered “154/250 AP”) has been beautifully signed in pencil by Parry along with Vladislav Tretiak, Yvan Cournoyer, Yuri Liapkin, and of course, Henderson himself. Lavishly framed to approx 26” x 31 ½” and ready for hanging, this piece would be a cherished item in any fan or collector’s home. As the 50th anniversary of this legendary moment approaches, interest in items like this is bound to grow. A LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
