Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

Their 5th Stanley Cup championship in franchise history, this 20 ½” x 50” vinyl banner, a smaller version of the style that hangs from the rafters of the Bell Centre, proclaims the 1943-44 Cup win and is signed in clear blue sharpie by three members of that championship Canadiens' squad including deceased HOFers Emile “Butch” Bouchard and Elmer Lach, along with Bob Fillion. Montreal would sweep Chicago in four games that spring, with Elmer Lach finishing third in team playoff scoring behind his Punch Line mates Richard and Blake. Both the signatures and banner remain in gorgeous condition. The absolute perfect display piece for Habs fans, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany, along with a small wooden rod to insert into the top of the banner to facilitate hanging.
