Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
With his career sadly ended in 2000 after a slapshot he took to the throat required life-saving surgery, Trent McCleary appeared for three different NHL clubs despite going undrafted, with a total of 192 regular season games played. This Montreal Canadiens jersey was worn by the Swift Current native in 1999-00, his final season with the Habs where he appeared in a dozen games. A Pro Player label and “56” size tag are affixed to the collar, with embroidered Pro Player and NHL crests on the back bottom hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, the red V-neck has been accented with white-over-blue tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with the NHL 2000 crest over the right breast. Board burns are present over each sleeve, with a few dark marks near the right sleeve’s number. There is also some light pilling to the interior beneath the fight strap. Obtained directly from the Montreal Canadiens, an LOA from Classic Auctions will accompany.
