Outstanding opportunity here for those who have yet to enter or who enjoy the York “world”, with two appealing un-used albums accompanying mostly crease/issue-free cards. EX-or-better cards dominate a 42-card set from 1961-62, with eight exceptions having back damage (tape or glue stains), including 7-Horton and 28-Geoffrion, while a pinhole affects 1-Baun. Some like-new cards are also present in the 54-card set from '63-64, with only a half-dozen creased examples (2-Bower, 19-Richard) and #1-Horton stained. A seldom seen same-shaped card that kids could use to order missing cards is present, along with three vintage ads. The interior pages of the albums are immaculate, while the covers show only light wear. You’ll enjoy these treats!
The “order form” card has some of the numbers lightly circled in pencil but is crease-free. One side reveals that extra cards could be obtained for one cent each, while the album cost a quarter. Oh, how kids must have been excited when mom returned from the grocery store with a new jar of York peanut butter or a bag of York peanuts!
