The colors and the images depicted on the rookie card of Ottawa Senator Bruce Stuart and the second-year card of fellow Hall of Famer Paddy Moran (of Quebec Bulldogs' fame) are rather mesmerizing and chronologically lead this mostly pre-war offering. Both of the Imperial Tobacco cards are low grade due to paper loss on the front, although they're free of nasty/unsightly creases. Toronto Maple Leafs subjects dominate the rest, with a half-dozen from 1933-34. A Bill Thoms Ice Kings (rookie) card is best condition-wise at VG, with a Thoms Hamilton Gum card Fair and the others downright Poor. Included are Ice Kings 33-Baldy Cotton RC and 49-Ken Doraty RC, O-Pee-Chee cards of 4-Doraty RC and 32-Hap Day (severe creases, tape), with a V-129 card of 11-Andy Blair (RC) multi-creased. Big names from OPC's '37-38 issue are 133-Turk Broda and 138-Charlie Conacher, with both P due to several creases, with back damage to the Conacher also to report. Two '37-38 World Wide Gum cards display better, with multiple light creases affecting 40-Buzz Boll (F), while 48-Bob Davidson makes it to G. Completing are Maurice Richard's last card ('60-61 Parkie #45), with light creases sending it to F and '52-53 Parkhurst 18-Ed Kullman also low grade, partly due to paint(!) in the bottom border. Definitely cheaper alternatives to high grade examples are these still interesting vintage collectibles.
