Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020

An early-1970s O-Pee-Chee gathering here has an interesting lineup, with '71-72s the least plentiful but pretty much an all-rookie and star card contingent. Key rookie cards of Dryden, Lafleur and Dionne (MC) are all VG, with second-year cards of Clarke, Sittler (EX), Perreault, regular and All-Star cards of Orr, Hull, P. Esposito, Plante and Park, specials of Howe and Beliveau and RCs of Martin, MacLeish and Leach all present and mostly in the VG to VG-EX range. The difficult #111-Checklist is unmarked and VG+ due to a small crease in each of the two lower corners - not bad at all. Checklist #264 has eleven small tick marks and a light side-to-side crease. .....More big names (Orr, Hull, Dryden, Lafleur and most of those present in the first batch) are among 146 cards from '72-73, with 50-plus different WHA representatives (a complete run!), four unmarked checklists (#19 x 2, #190)(#334 is heavily creased), some rookies and commons all contributing. No high grade highlights, with VG to EX examples showing up the most often and an F-G 336-Hull card to note. .....Headlining (166) '73-74 entries is an EX+ (OC) Larry Robinson RC, with rookies of Smith, Barber, O'Reilly and Schultz all in the VG neighborhood. Three different unmarked checklists (all with grey backs) are VG+ to VG-EX, with Orr and other Hall of Famers/stars present and condition mostly (and averaging) VG, with an about even amount of 1st and 2nd Series cards. All sorts of possibilities with these classic collectibles.
