Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/20/2020
Offered here is a set of 1953-54 Parkhurst cards low on obvious creases and dominated by VG+ and VG-EX examples, with VGs and EXs present to a lesser extent. A light one-inch diagonal crease rising up from the bottom edge, along with corner/edge wear renders the key Jean Beliveau rookie card VG, while condition exceptions include keys Worsley RC and Sawchuk, both Poor with missing pieces. Rocket Richard makes it to EX, with Gordie Howe VG+. Horton is VG-EX+ in appearance but like #30-Lach & Richard measures narrow, suggesting trimming, with intermittent similar cards observed (Bathgate, Howell, Dineen and Arbour RCs appear short or narrow). Toning affects 1-Lumley, Harvey and Geoffrion (all VG), with almost all backs throughout problem-free.
Tape stains affect 100-Quackenbush and the aforementioned low grade Worsley rookie.
