Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
Waiving the standard five-year waiting period for eligibility expected of mere mortals, Maurice Richard received Hall of Fame enshrinement only one year after retiring, and was the NHL’s all-time leading goal scorer upon hanging up his skates, in 1960. This stick has been signed by the Montreal legend. A full size Canadien 6001 model in solid white with intact silver and blue striping accents, “Richard” is stamped over the lower shaft, with Maurice adding an attractive dark blue marker signature across the front side of the blade, and it displays wonderfully with no issues. The stick itself shows light wear, with a bit of rubbing to the graphics and glue residue over the upper shaft remaining from a formerly attached sticker.
