With sole distribution limited to the Great White North, this rarely-found Home Run cigarette tobacco tin hails from the 1940s and feature’s wonderful vintage graphics. Produced by B. Houde & Grothe in Montreal, the company was founded in 1841, and was later absorbed into the Imperial Tobacco Company of Canada, in 1908. At approx 4 ½” in height, the circular solid red tin sports a circumference of 4 ½”, with an embossed company crest over the lid. A generic batter has been placed over each side along with a large baseball with inserted text, with the tag line, “A Sure Hit!” along the base. There is a bit of surface rust over the lid, along with a few dents and scratches to the tin itself. There are also remnants of a tax stamp over one side.
