Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Spring 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/16/2020
A veteran of 21 NHL seasons, Joe Thornton is a six-time All-Star, with the coveted Art Ross and Hart Memorial Trophies both won by the future HOFer in 2006. This stick was used by the superstar during his time with Boston in the early-2000s. A CCM Heat graphite model, “Thornton” appears over the upper shaft, with “J. Thornton” also stamped along the stem of the inserted wooden CCM blade. The original ribbed white tape job remains on the handle with black tape over the blade, with clear tape added midway up the shaft to rectify a break. Great use is exhibited on the stick, with wear to the taped section of blade along with a few visible abrasions to the lower shaft.
