Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Signatures abound in this grouping of items from the personal collection of Montreal Canadiens legend Jean Beliveau, with over 250 signed hockey cards, 21 signed photos, three signed displays and more! The signed cards include 100 Export A “blue” cards (signed in dark blue) and 100 Export A “red” cards (signed in silver), with an additional 65 TCMA cards from 1981 (signed in black) and a trio of modern Parkhurst cards. This is followed by 21 signed photos, with the majority modern prints in the 8” x 10” range, with varying inks used. The framed displays include a 1957-58 Molson Habs team photo, matted to 15” x 16”, a photo display at 13” x 16”, and a framed photo from a charity event at the Forum (19” x 22”), with each frame signed on the glass by Jean. Rounding out the lot, there’s a ceramic plate signed by Jean in gold (10”), a signed print from 1974, a Canada Post Beliveau stamp set signed and four box sets of the book “Jean Beliveau et son epogue” (one copy is in French and blue in colour, the other three are in English and red in colour). The majority of the signatures in the collection are nice examples with no issues, with light handling wear to the signed photos. We should also note that the TCMA cards from 1981 have dinged corners. An LOA from the Beliveau family will accompany.
