Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
A selection of the Boston Bruins at the 1988 NHL Entry Draft, Joe Juneau would spend a trio of seasons in Beantown before being traded to Washington for Al Iafrate, in 1993-94. Additional time in five other NHL cities would follow including Montreal and Washington, with Juneau the first player in NHL history to be awarded a penalty shot during overtime in a Stanley Cup playoff game. Originally acquired directly from the Canadiens, this Habs jersey was worn by the Pont-Rouge native during his first of three seasons with the club, in 2001-02. A size “56” CCM label is affixed to the collar, with CCM and NHL crests on the back neckline and bottom hem respectively. Featuring the famous CH team crest partially-embroidered, the solid white V-neck has been accented with tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Juneau” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Exhibiting decent use, there are washed-out marks visible over the front and sleeves, with a bit of blue paint transfer over the lower reverse.
