Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
Advancing to the Memorial Cup with the Quebec Remparts in the mid-1970s, Mario Marois appeared for five different NHL clubs during his career and is best remembered as a Quebec Nordique, captaining the squad for a trio of seasons, from 1983 to 1986. These home and away Nordiques jerseys were worn by the L'Ancienne-Lorette native late in the 1989-90 season. Each jersey sports Maska labels with handwritten “54” sizing, with CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Featuring tackle twill team crests, “44” appears over the sleeves and verso of each in rubberized numerals, with “Marois” across the affixed nameplates in matching material. Three fleur-de-lys have also been heat-pressed over each front and reverse, with singles over each shoulder. The solid blue jersey shows a few random small marks including over the lower front, with some minor cracking to the fleur-de-lys over the left shoulder. The solid white jersey shows wear over the reverse numbers, with some peeling/cracking to the majority of the fleur-de-lys. A signed LOA from Mario Marois will accompany.
