Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
With the 11-1 loss to Detroit in 1995-96 signaling the end for Patrick Roy in Montreal, the iconic netminder would lead his new club, the Colorado Avalanche to glory, winning a Stanley Cup during his first season in Denver. This Aves jersey was signed by the three-time Conn Smythe winner, with a desirable “1996 Cup” notation added. A Starter model with Center Ice labeling and a size “54-R” swatch, the garment features a tackle twill crest and numbers, with the 1996 Stanley Cup crest over the right breast. Roy has signed the second reverse “3” in black marker, with the desirable notation added beneath the attractive signature, along with the limited-edition number of “3/96”. A COA will accompany along with a registration certificate.
