Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/26/2020
One of the hobby's most desirable hockey rookie cards is that featuring Maurice "Rocket" Richard, with an example of card #4 from Parkhurst's landmark inaugural issue offered here in KSA's "5 EX" condition. A somewhat generous mark for a card with rounded/slightly rounded corners, but no creases are evident and the color is rich/full. Toning is also to mention. Mentioned on the front are the Rocket's 42 goals from the previous season after which he and the Canadiens (65 points) upset league champion Detroit (101 points) in the playoffs' first round before bowing to the Maple Leafs (five games) in an all-overtime final, ended by Bill Barilko.
An absolute prerequisite to an important Richard/RC/Parkhurst collection awaits your consideration/bid, with a few very light surface scratches to report on the front of the KSA holder, along with a piece of transparent scotch tape on the back, in the upper black section.
