Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Winter 2020

After a two-year hiatus, Topps returned to the hockey card market with a set whose interesting rookie card lineup (of 20) is led by Glenn Hall, with "Mr. Goalie"s RC here graded 8 NMM by KSA. Superstars Howe (6.5 ENM+) and Sawchuk (7.5 NM+) are also KSA-slabbed, while rookie cards of Bucyk, Ullman and Pilote look to be VG+, EX-MT and VG+ respectively, with very subtle issues. The rest are dominated by crease-free cards in the EX-MT (mostly) to NM range, with a smaller percentage of EX and EX+ examples, along with a few exceptions. A dozen cards, including the Ullman RC, have subtle moisture stains in the upper right corner, while a small, barely detectable crease affect Bucyk and Pilote. Other notable RCs are those of Fontinato, Horvath, Vasko, Litzenberger and Simmons. Please see our website for more photos/details.
Condition exceptions include #s 1-Chevrefils (creased and VG), 52-Gendron RC (VG+) and 66-Creighton (VG-EX), while a run of Red Wings are the ones with the upper right corner issues. Included are Kelly, Delvecchio and Arbour. All-in-all however, a real decent ensemble that will look quite sharp in nine-pocket pages. The KSA holders meanwhile are scratch-free, with an upper right corner stain detected in the Howe card but not the Hall or Sawchuk.
