Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Surfacing less often than their previous season’s counterparts are 1940-41 O-Pee-Chee sepia-toned 5" by 7" cards, with this group being able to be divided up into three separate groups, condition-wise. Rather expertly removed from a scrapbook, with only minor discoloration on the upper backs are 13 cards which display in the VG to VG-EX range, including Apps, Broda, Reardon RC and Stewart RC, with Blake creased/stained and lower. Ten others (seven Leafs) are problem-free and mostly VG to VG-EX, with 119-Hamilton an EX+ beauty. Low grade are the rest, with back damage and/or having been partially colored by a youngster. Schmidt RC is one of five colored, while Bentley RC has (nickel-size) paper loss on the reverse. Intriguing collectibles for collectors of vintage material to contemplate.
