Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
Shining for a short time with the New York Rangers during the early-1980s, netminder Steve Baker also saw selective action in the AHL. We have a collection of items totaling 6 that originate directly from Baker including four pairs of uniform pants along with two pairs of goalie skates. The first pair of pants have white stars down each side, with these attributed to use with Team USA at the 1981 Canada Cup (training camp only), with the second pair of Supra models having a Rangers logo with heavy use exhibited, with the remaining two pairs of pants also showing moderate to heavier use, with both also attributed to his time with the Rangers. Both pairs of skates have also been attributed to seeing use with the Rangers, with one pair having white shells and intact laces, with heavy use visible including cuts over the toe sections, with tape added to a blade stem on the left skate. The second pair has black shells, with moderate game use visible, with tape again added over blade stems on both skates.
