Historical Hockey Memorabilia Auction Fall 2019
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/5/2019
A veteran of 16 NHL seasons, Stéphane Quintal appeared for 6 different clubs during his tenure, with the bulk of his time spent with Montreal. Originally gifted to superstar Ray Bourque and hailing from his personal collection, we have a signed Canadiens alternate captain’s jersey worn by Quintal in 1997-98. A Center-Ice label from Starter graces the collar, with a “54-G” size swatch over the inside hem. Styled with the most famous team crest in hockey, “5” appears over the sleeves and verso in white tackle twill with blue trim, with “Quintal” across the affixed nameplate in single white twill. Quintal has signed the reverse number in black marker, with the signature bleeding into the background somewhat. A signed LOA from Ray Bourque will accompany. A portion of the sales from the Ray Bourque personal collection will benefit the Bourque Family Foundation.
Showing great game use, heavy board burns are present over each sleeve, with a small hole visible beneath the front left shoulder. There are also team repairs, with examples over each shoulder and the lower left sleeve, with the right cuff coming somewhat unraveled.
